Pender Regift Thrift Store
An Assisting Young Mothers program staffer was invited to Pender Regift Thrift Store in early May. Pender Regift donated a large bag of summer clothing for the infants and toddlers in the AYM and HYI programs. This will really help as we welcome warmer weather!

The NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) Developing Leaders held a huge donation drive and brought us over 2,000 snack packs for our various programs - the biggest donation of snack packs to date!! They replaced the front door, which badly needed replacing, and cleaned out the gutters. They worked with great attention to detail and demonstrated a commitment to the job they were doing. Alternative House would like to thank Mike Hambleton and O'Grady's Landscape of Falls Church for their help at our Emergency Shelter for Teens. Mike and his crew re-graded the yard to help with the water problem we have in the basement. On behalf of all of us at Alternative House, thank you for the great job you did.
