Available Positions

Full Time Residential Counselor—Shelter

Small non-profit seeks FT Residential Counselor to work at our crisis shelter for teens.  BA in social work or related field required.  Exp. w/ teens pref. Responsibilities will include: coach and supervise residents; conduct individual counseling session and life skills group workshops; maintain a safe, secure, and healthy living environment; provide case management; thoroughly document resident files, and answer crisis hotline calls. Overnight Relief Counselors needed - 11:00 pm-9:00 am shift

Relief Counselors to work at our crisis shelter for teens. Hours are on an as-needed basis and can include day shifts, evenings, awake overnights, weekends and holidays.

Relief staff are expected to work a minimum of one 8-hour shift per month.

Duties include:

  • Coach and supervise residents
  • Conduct individual counseling session and life skills group workshops
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy living environment
  • Answer crisis hotline calls

Requirements:

  • BA in social work or related field required
  • Experience with teens preferred
  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter, high energy, well organized, multi-tasker
  • Must be willing to undergo a background investigation prior to employment and be willing to be certified in CPR and First Aid

Additional Information:

  • Compensation: $11.50 per hour
  • This is a part-time job.
