Community-Based Youth Services
Alternative House's Community-Based Youth Services comprise programs that keep children and youth safe, provide positive alternatives, and help youth achieve success.
These services include:
- Street Outreach – Counselors provide food, clothing and referrals to young people in need on the street and from our Outreach Van.
- Culmore Teen Center - The Teen Center offers teens a safe and supportive environment after school and during the summer.
- Safe Youth Projects -- Our Safe Youth Projects in Culmore and Annandale help disadvantaged children in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades achieve personal success, do well in school, and give back to the community.
- Annandale Targeted Youth Initiative – This initiative provides assistance to vulnerable teens and their families through a partnership with Annandale High School and Fairfax County.
